Vanessa DoVonne Shaw 57, of Tarboro, North Carolina died Monday, April 22, 2019 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital Tarboro, N.C . Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Sunday April 28, 2019 at Mildred Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Mildred, North Carolina with Rev. Walter Cherry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery, Tarboro, North Carolina.

She is survived by her parents Jordan and Marjorie Shaw of the home, one brother Gregory Creston Shaw (Betty Jones), Tarboro, N.C., three nieces, one nephew, three great nieces and three great nephews. Ten aunts, Gracie Williams, Barbara Black, Sandra Black of Brooklyn, N.Y.,  Peggy Cofield, Tarboro, North Carolina, Ora Mae (Rev. Morris) Lewis, Greensboro, North Carolina, Alice Johnson, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Perry Sarah White, Tarboro, North Carolina, Mary Hinton, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Bernice White, Portsmouth, Va., Mary Francis Cooper, Tarboro, North Carolina. Two uncles, Clifton (Gail) Black, Blackstone Va., Curtis (Vernell) Jordan, Tarboro, North Carolina. 

A viewing will be from 2:00 P.M. To 6:00 P.M. on Saturday April 27, 2019 at Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. of Tarboro, North Carolina.
