Mr. Willie McDowell, 67, of Tarboro, North Carolina died Saturday March 09, 2019 at Pitt Vidant Hospital, Greenville, North Carolina. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 16, 2019 at 1:00pm at St. James Temple Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Glascoe Mercer officiating.  Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Tarboro, North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife Rebelle Smith McDowell of the home, two daughters, Latalya (Clayton) Phillips, Kesha (Jammie) Thomas both of Princeville, North Carolina.  Three grandchildren, Tie'queisha (Quintin) Whitehead of Tarboro, North Carolina, Jar'Queisha Thomas and Jar'heem Thomas of Princeville, North Carolina. Two god children Courtney Land and Azyon Battle of Princeville, North Carolina. Three sisters, Bettie Hunter, Washington, D.C., Gloria (Oscar) Caine and Cassandra (Thurston) Wishop, Princeville, North Carolina. Six brothers, Jerry McDowell Jr. of New York, Curtis (Linda) McDowell, Capital Heights, MD., Clifton (Delois) McDowell, Greensboro, North Carolina, Lancy (Anita) McDowell, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Reggie (Barbara) McDowell, Conetoe, North Carolina, Bobbie McDowell, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. 

A public viewing will be held from 2:00-5:00pm at Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. followed by a wake from 6:00-8pm at Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church.
