A graveside service will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Gardens Of Gethsemane, 13670 US Highway 64 Alt. Rocky Mount, North Carolina. We will be adhering to COVID-19 restrictions for this service but services will be LIVE STREAM for other family members and friends on our Joe Willie Dickens facebook page at 11:00 AM. He is survived hy his wife, Annie Battle Sherrod of the home, his mother, Della Sherrod of Speed, North Carolina, a son, Errick Sherrod (Tawan) Rocky Mount, North Carolina, two brothers Nathaniel Sherrod (Cheryl) Waldorf Md., James Sherrod, Speed, North Carolina, three sisters Mittie Staton (Willie) Durham North Carolina, Vernell Jordan (Curtis) Tarboro, North Carolina, Nonnie Roberts (Perry) Columbus Ga., seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a uncle David Sherrod of Plainville NJ. and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Viewing and visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
