Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m.Sunday, August 12. 2018 at Conetoe Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Conetoe North Carolina with Rev. Richard Joyner officiating. Burial will follow in the Council Cemetery on highway 11, Oak City North Carolina. He is survived by his wife Purley Moore of the home, three daughters, Faye Hinton (Johnny), Tarboro, North Carolina, Linda Pettaway Pearson (Carl Lee) Hassell, North Carolina, Betty Moore, Tarboro, North Carolina, three sons, Donald Pettaway (Elnora) Tillery, North Carolina, Kenneth Moore (Bridgette) and Jesse Moore (Venus) both of Greenville, North Carolina. Five sisters Annie Moore Everette, Tarboro, North Carolina, Betty Jean Pippen, Bethel, North Carolina, Loistine Moore Grimes (Lonnie) Greensboro, North Carolina, Geraldine Moore Andrews, Greensboro, North Carolina and Perry Lee Moore Mann, Queens New York. Thirty-three grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held 2:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Dickens Funeral Service, Inc.
