Ms. Dorothy Gardner Pope, 84, of Princeville, North Carolina, died on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Batts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Tarboro with The Rev. Linwood Euwell as the Eulogist. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dickens Funeral Service, Tarboro, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2024. Surviving: Sisters; Clydie Gardner of Princeville and Phyllis Debrew of Tarboro, two aunts; Patsy Ballard of Scotland Neck and Lizine Debrew of Tarboro, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
