Elder James Smith Obituary Elder James Smith, 93, of Pinetops North Carolina died Friday March 19, 2021 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital. Service for Elder Smith will be held on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 1:00PM. at the Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Association Church, Pinetops, North Carolina. Eulogist Elder Anthony Sharpe. A public visitation will be held from 12noon to 1:00PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery, Farmville, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife Bettie Horne Smith of the home, two sons Donnie Tillery ( Janie) Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Elder Anthony Sharpe of Maryland., five daughters Carolyn Faye Battle, New York, NY, Bernice Sherrod and Louise Rogers , Tarboro, North Carolina, Shirley Coley, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Jennifer Bryant (David) Pinetops, North Carolina. One brother Alexander Smith (Rosa Lee) Pinetops, North Carolina, two sisters Selover Layne, New York, Dorothy Fahnbulleh, Greenville, North Carolina and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. A Public Viewing and Visitation will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Dickens Funeral Service, Tarboro, North Carolina from 2:00PM to 6:00PM.
