Gladys Staton Obituary Ms. Gladys Mae Staton, age 83, transitioned from this earth on Tuesday, September 08, 2020 at home. Services for Ms. Staton will be held on Sunday, September 13 at 2:00PM at Conetoe Chapel Missionary Baptist church with Rev. Richard Joyner officiating. She is survived by two daughters, Minnie Hudgins (Melvin ) Goldsboro, North Carolina, Ruby Bryant (Anthony), Greenville, North Carolina. Three brothers Acey Pettaway, Earl Pettaway both of Brooklyn, New York and Kennedy Pettaway (Alice) Tarboro, North Carolina. Two sisters, Pearlie Moore, Tarboro, North Carolina and Betty Pender, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Twelve grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and friends. A public viewing and visitation will take place at Dickens Funeral Service on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00PM. We will follow the COVID -19 guidelines in the distancing and masks will be required to be worn at both services.
