She is survived by three sons Billy Ray Stephens, Wilson, North Carolina, Howie Wandell Stephens, Tarboro, North Carolina and Christopher Lynn Stephens, (Sheila) Wake Forest, North Carolina, one daughter Carolyn Stephens Forte (Johnnie) Wilmington, North Carolina, three sisters, Maggie Sanders, Ada Marie Sheppard of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Deloris Thornton , Tarboro, North Carolina, five grandchildren Shanta Bass (Alex) Fuquay - Varina, North Carolina, Jocelynnne Stephens Telfair (Ronzell) Tarboro, North Carolina, Jonathan Forte (Elizabeth) Wilmington, North Carolina, Ja Vonna Stephens and Ja Nisha R. Stephens of Tarboro, North Carolina. A public viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday November 28, 2020 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. We will follow the covid - 19 guidelines in distancing and wearing of masks will be required for both services.
