John Hinton Jr. Obituary Mr. John Luther Hinton Jr. died Monday September 14, 2020 at home. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday September 19, 2020 at 11:00AM in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Tarboro, North Carolina with Rev. Wayne Hines officiating. He was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and served in many capacities. He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, James R. Whitaker, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Jonas Lynch (Diane) Rocky Mount, North Carolina, John Luther Hinton 111, Winterville, North Carolina, four daughters, Jacqueline H. King (Gregory) Battleboro, North Carolina, JoAnne H. Perkins (Anthony) Princeville, North Carolina, Sharon H. Johnson (Thomas) Whitakers, North Carolina, Shereka Allen, Tarboro, North Carolina, two step children,Yolanda Barnes, Tarboro, North Carolian and Joseph Barnes Jr., Winston Salem, North Carolina. . His survivors also included Joe Nathan Hinton (Catheius) Hyatts, Md., Johnny Bullock (Kim) Rocky Mount, North Carolina and Donald Ray Bullock (Laverne) Tarboro, North Carolina. One sister Mary L. McGriff, Lancaster, S.C., nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. A public Viewing and Visitation will be held on Friday,September 18, 2020 from 2:00PM to 6:00PM at Dickens Funeral Service. We will follow the COVID -19 guidelines in distancing and masks will be required to be worn for both services.
