Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens of Tarboro, North Carolina. She is survived by two sons, Jamaal Damonz Purvis of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and Toby Renaldo of Stafford, Va., two grandchildren, one sister Barbara Jean Gilmore of Greensboro, North Carolina and one brother Richard T.
