Mr. Charles Curtis Herring, affectionately Known as "C Curtis," was born on August 30, 1948, in Newport News, Virginia. He peacefully entered eternal rest on December 31, 2025, at Scotland Neck Manor Health and Rehab in Scotland Neck, North Carolina, at the age of 77, while under hospice care. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving siblings: Dorothy Herring White, the oldest of the Herring Family, and Overseer Theodore Herring Sr. (Elizabeth), the youngest of the Herring family, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. Who will forever remember his gentle spirt and joyful presence. 

A Memorial Service celebrating the Life of Charles Curtis Herring will be held Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Salvation and Deliverance Church, located at 1108 West Wilson Street, Tarboro, North Carolina. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dickens Funeral Service of Tarboro, North Carolina.
