Mr. Connell Carney Obituary Princeville, N.C. Mr. Connell Carney, 51, died February 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Saint Luke Church of Christ Princeville, N.C. with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Princeville, N.C. Connell leaves a legacy of love, his daughters Schemecka Scott (Greg) Farmer, of Tarboro, NC and Brittany Symone (Domonic) Hayes, of Fayetteville, NC; stepson, Eric Epps of Tarboro, N.C.; grandchildren, Ma'Karious, Makensie and Kaiden Scott and Zaiden Scott all of Tarboro, NC; Mother, Ethel Freeman Carney of Tarboro, NC and siblings; Thelma Carney (Rev. John) Kennedy, Greeleyville, SC, Ann Carney Adams of Princeville, NC, Milton (Debria) Carney of Greenville, NC and Minister Dorothy Cobb Powell of Washington, DC; He also leaves to cherish his memories nieces and nephews, Carney Samantha Adams, of Princeville, NC, Corey Lonnell (Antoinette) Stephens, of Windsor Mills, MD, Crystal Simonia Powell and Roosevelt Powell, III, of Washington, DC; his very special aunts and uncles, Mary Freeman Bullock, of Tarboro, NC, Fred (Rev. Vernice) Carney of Rockville, MD, Alexander (Martha) Carney, Hamden, CT and Johnnie (Shirley) Freeman of Burlington, NC; In addition to his family, Connell's very special friend, Priscilla Covington of Rocky Mount, NC, Deidra Mungo and cousin Michelle Newkirk both of Tarboro, NC are left to cherish his memories. Connell's legacy also includes his church family, great and great-great nieces and many, many, cousins (including his cookout crew, his Howell cousins) and friends. A viewing will be held Thursday 2-8 pm at Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. of Tarboro.
