Mr. Ernest Thomas, Jr. Obituary Rocky Mount, North Carolina Mr. Ernest Emerson Thomas, Jr., 67, of Rocky Mount North Carolina died Monday June 18, 2018 at Duke Regional Hospital Durham, North Carolina, Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., June 24, 2018 at Thorne Chapel Missionary Baptist church (1624 Windsor Dr.) Rocky Mount, North Carolina with Rev. Dr. Thomas Walker, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Dancy Cemetery in Princeville, North Carolina. He is survived by two sons, Ernest Thomas, III of Tarboro, North Carolina and Anthony Thomas of the home. Two sisters, Alice Thomas Meeks and Leatrice Freer (James) of Winterville, North Carolina, one brother Bobby Thomas (Deborah) of Tarboro, North Carolina, two grandchildren, two uncles, James Thomas of Battleboro, North Carolina and Walter Thomas (Frances) of Tarboro, North Carolina, three aunts, Lorraine Burney of West Palm Beach, Florida, Betty Hill (Archdale) of Rocky Mount North Carolina and Yvonne Thomas of New York. A viewing will be held 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Dickens Funeral Service, Inc., Tarboro, North Carolina.
