Mr. Fred Edwards, Jr. Obituary Mr. Fred Edwards, Jr., 70 , died October 23, 2008. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 A.M. at the Weeping Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. Glascoe Mercer officiating. Burial will follow in the Council Cemetery. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jennie E. Thomas and Ms. Shirley Mae Edwards, both of Tarboro, and Mrs. Barbara A.
