Mr. John Battle Obituary Tarboro, North Carolina Mr. John H. Battle, 71, died Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Monday, May 8, 2017 at Cherry Hill Missionary Baptist Church along with a viewing one hour prior to the service. Rev. Walter Adkins, Jr. will be the Eulogist for the service. Burial will follow in the East Lawn Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Battle of the home, three sons, Calvin Everette (Penny), John Shaw, Shelton Battle and one daughter, Kendra Nettles (Mario), five grandchildren, his siblings, Ethel Sneed (Deceased), Charlie Battle, Jr., Ellen Jeffery (Hershey),. Daniel Frank Battle (Katherine), Lee Marshal Battle, (Patricia), Channie Ruth Battle Parker, Katie Golden Weeks (Deceased) and a host of other relatives and friends.
