Funeral service for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Born Again Ministries (4779 NC Hwy 33 NW in Tarboro, N.C.) with Bishop Thomas Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the East Lawn Cemetery in Tarboro, N.C. He was married to Sabina McKenzie and other surviving family members include his children, Sonya M. Wiggins (Reginald) Glen Allen, Va., Shekina M. Mayfield (Lamont) Wake Forest, N.C., Makiyah N. McKenzie Tarboro, N.C., his siblings, Thaddeus McKenzie, Tarboro, N.C., Cassandra McKenzie, Rocky Mount, N.C. Jerome McKenzie, Tarboro, N.C., four grandchildren, two aunts, Lillie Mae McKenzie Williams, Lucy McKenzie Williams both of Whitesville, N.C. and a host of other relatives and friends.
