Mr. Sherley Pettit Obituary Princeville, NC Mr. Sherley Pettit was born on June 7, 1930 in Accamac, Virginia. He departed this life on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro. He was a member of the Salem Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday May 10, 2014 at the Salem Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (1992 Fishing Creek Road) with the Rev. Antonia Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of forty one years, Ora Lee Pettis of the home; two sons, Calvin Henry of Ocean City, MD and Troy Pettit of Delaware;two daughters, Pattie Deloatch of Newport, Delaware and Cynthia Williams of Frankfort, Delaware; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Marietta Parker of Accamac, Virginia and Catherine (Sam) Mason of Chicago, Illinois; two sisters-in law, Gladys Wilkins of Tarboro, NC and Geraldine (Raymond) Batchelor of Princeville ,NC; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
