Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Pines Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Pinetops, North Carolina. He is survived by a wife, Ethel Draughn Braswell, three daughters, Patricia Whitmore, Linda Birth (Calvin), Josephine Braswell all of Rocky Mount, N.C., four sons, Joseph Braswell (Ethel) of Coca, Fla., William Braswell, Jr. (Catherine) of Nashville, N.C., Bernard Braswell (Delvina) of Rocky Mount, N.C. and Ernest Braswell of Roanoke, Va. A viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. of Tarboro, N.C.
