Mrs. Ethel Bess Obituary Tarboro, North Carolina Mrs. Ethel M. Bess, 70, of Tarboro, North Carolina died Tuesday May, 29, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at St. James Temple Missionary Baptist church (McNair Road) Tarboro, N.C. with Rev. Cornell Joyner officiating and eulogist by Rev. Turner White, pastor of James Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist church of Oak City, N.C. Burial will follow in the Fields Cemetery, Oak City, N.C. She is survived by two children, Quincy Bess and Tansy Bess both of Tarboro, N.C., six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Eight sisters, Mary Martin (Joseph) Hamilton, N.C., Carrie Jones, Rich Square, N.C., Margaret Barrett (Julius) Oak City, N.C., Jacqueline Bess, Raleigh, N.C., Thelma J. Bryant Oak City, N.C., Joyce Cotton, Oak City, N.C., Sara Williams, Oak City, N.C., and Martha Smallwood (Donald) Williamston, N.C.. Four brothers, Lester Bess Jr, (Margie) Oak City, N.C., Ronnie Bess (Sheila) Henderson, N.C., Tony Bess, Tarboro, N.C. Vincent Bess, of Varina, Va. and five aunts. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dickens Funeral Service Inc. These services have been entrusted to Dickens Funeral Service Inc. of Tarboro, N.C.
