Mrs. Hattie Ransome Obituary Mrs. Hattie Sharpe Ransome, 87, died November 2, 2009. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 am at the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wayne Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the Dancy Memorial Cemetery. She is survived by three daughters: Rosa Thorne of Brooklyn, NY, Lillie Worsley and Earlene Jones both of Tarboro. Four sons, Edward Sharpe of Maryland, John Sharpe and James Ransome both of Princeville and Lewis Ransome of Wilson. One godson: Lonnie Whitehead of Greenville. Five daughters-in-law, Pamela Ransome, Lorine Ransome and Carolyn Sharpe of Princeville, Ruby Ransome of Rocky Mount, Claudette Sharpe of Maryland and Arbella Ransome of Wilson. Three sons-in-law: Glenza Thorne of New York, Robert Worsley and Glenn Jones both of Tarboro. Two sisters: Carrie Wheeler of Tarboro and Mary Elizabeth Modlin of Princeville. One brother: Charles Sharpe of Princeville. 27 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
