Mrs. Irene Johnson Obituary Mrs. Irene Dickens Johnson, 71, died December 8, 2008. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at the Pines Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Battle and Rev. Dennis Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Carver Park Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Wesley Leroy Johnson of the home, one daughter Jackie Johnson Bell of Pottstown, Philadelphia, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one stepdaughter Brenda Flowers Richardson of Pinetops. Five sisters Emma Dortch and Barbara Dickens both of Pinetops, Phyllis Biscoe of Maryland, Annie Reathea Jenkins and Nora Umstead both of Rocky Mount. Six brothers, Wilton Dickens, John Robert Dickens, Billy Gray Dickens all of Pinetops, William Junior Dickens of Maryland, James Edward Dickens of New York and Jimmy Dickens of Washington,D.C. A viewing will be held Friday 5-6:30 P.M. and the family will receive friends 6:30-8:00 P.M. at the Church.
