Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 am at the Mildred Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (1838 South Shiloh Farm Road) with the Rev. Glascoe Mercer, officiating. Burial will follow in the Council Cemetery near Bethel. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons: Darwin Alfonso Thomas (Donna) of Greensboro, NC and Maurice Terrence Thomas (Paula) of Durham, NC; a step-daughter: Donna Lynn Coles (Noland) of Durham, NC; four granddaughters: Da'Quita Thomas, Orianna Thomas, Marissa Thomas and Chelsea Boyd; five grandsons, Darwin Thomas, Jr., Maurice Thomas, Jr., Noland Coles, III, Donald Coles and Seneca Stephens; one great granddaughter: Kamya Coles; two sisters: Shirley Mae Edwards of Tarboro and Barbara Anne Edwards of Greenville, NC; six brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law; three god children, Renee, Revee and Inga; an extended family, the children of Sam Dickens, Sr.; cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
