Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Conetoe Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Gray officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery in Tarboro, North Carolina. She is survived by her husband, Morris Pettaway of Princeville, NC; three daughters, Kendra Smith (Maurice) of Rocky Mount, NC, Loretta Hilliard, Crystal Hilliard both of Tarboro, NC, three sisters, Doretha Hilliard of Washington, D.C., Dianne Heath (Steve) of Rocky Mount, N.C., Sandra Lawrence (Derrick) of Nashville, NC; four brothers, Jimmie Hilliard (Lola) of Princeville, N.C., Dennis Hilliard of Tarboro, NC, William Hilliard of Durham, N.C. and Victor Hilliard of Washington, D.C. A viewing will held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015 followed by a wake from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. of Tarboro, N.C.
