Mrs. Ruth Knight Obituary Mrs. Ruth Virginia McDowell Knight,78, of Tarboro, departed this life on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at her residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday 2 p.m. at the Free Union Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. William Suggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Free Union Church Cemetery. She leave to cherish her memories, four sons, Ellis McDowell (Debbie),William Knight, Jr.(Tracey),Wilbert Knight(Dorothy) Michael Knight (Lisa) all of Tarboro. Three daughters: Jeanette Chance (Bobby); Cynthia Davis (Dwayne)and Lena Thorne (Johnny) all of Tarboro. Four step-daughters; Margeret Foreman, Gorine Bryant, Mary Coopers and Catherine Basemore. Two sisters; Zula Anthony of Hampton, Va. and Florence Walker of Newport News, Va. Sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
