Ms. Martha Staton Obituary Tarboro, N.C. Ms. Martha Odell Staton, 72, died October 11, 2010. Funeral services will be held Saturday 2 p.m. at the St. James Temple Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Glasco Mercer officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. She is survived by one daughter, Patricia S. Johnson of Tarboro; four sons, Jerome Staton, Carnell Staton, and Dwight Staton all of Tarboro, and Phillip Staton of Farmville; one sister Lucy Bolton of Maryland and three brothers; Larry Sherrod of Arizona, Joseph Sherrod and Eddie Sherrod both of Washington, DC, nine grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
