Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St James Temple Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Williams officiating. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Tawana Barnes, Rocky Mount, N.C., Markita Council, of the home, Quentin Council, Greenville, N.C., one sister Linda Staton, Rocky Mount, N.C., three brothers, Calvin Council (Sharon) Rocky Mount, N.C., Willie Council (Audrey) Conetoe, N.C., and James Council (Mary) Parmalee, N.C. ten grandchildren, her mother, Shirley King (deceased) and father William Council, Greenville, N.C. and a host of family and friends. A viewing will be held from 2-7:00 p. m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Dickens Funeral Service Inc. Burial will follow in the Council cemetery NC 11 North, Oak City, N.C.
