Rebell McDowell Obituary Mrs. Rebell McDowell, 70, of Princeville, North Carolina transitioned on Tuesday July 18, 2023. Services will be held on Wednesday July 26, 2023 at St. James Temple at 1:00 pm with Rev. Glascoe Mercer as the eulogist. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Tarboro, North Carolina. She leaves to mourn her departure her mother Ms. Catherine Smith Knight, two daughters, Latalya Phillips (Clayton), Princeville, NC, Kesha Thomas (Jammie), Princeville, NC and one god daughter, Ashley Barrett (Aaron), Greenville, NC. Three grandchildren Tie'Queisha Whitehead (Quintin), Princeville, Jar'Queisha Thomas, Princeville, and Jar'Heem Thomas, Princeville, NC. Two god grandchildren Courtney Lane and Azyon Battle, one great grandchild Chloe Whitehead. Six sisters Maggie Jones, Hazel Bell (Linwood), Deloris Knight, Catherine Knight of Tarboro, Jackie Taylor of Raleigh, and Katina Baker, Scotland Neck. Two brothers Ralph Knight Jr of Tarboro and Reginald Baker of Scotland Neck, NC. Special cousins Ethel Williams, Jannie Thighpen, Minister Joyce Smith and her closest friends Minister Sally Arnold, Lucy Armfield, Mary Parker, and Anita McDowell. A public viewing will be held at Weeping Mary Baptist Church on Tuesday July 25, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm. These services were entrusted to Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. Tarboro, NC.
