Richard Staton, Sr. Obituary Richard Staton, Sr., 71, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina passed on June 28, 2021 at Nash UNC Hospital of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Arrangements for Mr. Staton will be held on Friday July 02, 2021 at 2:00PM at Leggett Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Mitchell Harris officiating. A public Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. He is survived by one son Richard (Mary) Staton, Speed, North Carolina, three daughters Patricia Staton (Judith), Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Thelma (Willie) Smith, Huntsville Alabama, Lynnette Staton, Huntsville, Alabama. One brother James Staton, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, one sister Almeta Staton, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. We will follow the COVID-19 guidelines and you are asked that masks be worn for this service.
