Rudolph Dickens Obituary Rudolph Dickens, 73, of Waterbury, CT. passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Vitas Unit of St. Mary`s Hospital. He was the widower of Bennie (Wilkins) Dickens. Rudy was born August 11, 1947 in Tarboro, NC son of the late James D. and Mary (Haywood) Dickens.
Rudolph was a meter reader for Northeast Utilities before his retirement. He was a devoted member of Zion Baptist Church and a Free Mason of the King Solomon Lodge. Rudolph was a true family man, and a father figure to all of his sons` friends. He was a happy, easy-going man, enjoyed joking with others and left everyone he encountered each day with a smile on their faces. He will truly be missed by all who knew him as he now joins his sweet wife, Bennie in heaven.
Rudy leaves to mourn his passing his sons Bobby and wife Fazeena Dickens, Andre and wife Kendra Dickens and daughter Debbie and husband Steve Kersey all of Waterbury,CT. his sister Ernestine 'Mamie' Gregory of Tarboro, NC, and a brother Curtis Dickens of Waterbury CT. Rudy also leaves his treasured grandchildren; Bobby Jr, Steven and Andreya Dickens, and great grandchildren Xzayvion and Lamaia Dickens.
Rudy was predeceased by his brothers Rayvon, James and Moses Dickens and sister Dora Lee Santos.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday March 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM
All services will be entrusted to Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. of Tarboro, North Carolina, where he will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife in Wilkins Family Cemetery.
