She is survived by three sons, Robert Powell II (Diana), Pensacola,Fl., James Clifton Powell III (Bonnie), Tarboro, N.C., and John Henry Powell IV (Angela), Winston Salem, N.C., two daughters, Marthiah Wells (Aron), Pensacola, Fl, and Thaeesha Quarells (Daniel) of Pensacola, Fl., fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
