Graveside services will be held for Mr. Byrd on Saturday September 26,2020 at 11:00AM at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Tarboro, North Carolina with Pastor Shirley Hill, Eulogist. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Marie Byrd of the home, one son Jeffrey Byrd, (Maria) Hollywood California, daughters Tonja Autina Byrd, Ellicott City, Maryland, Denecia Powell, Tarboro, North Carolina, Cassandra Powell-Austin (Marvin) Baltimore Maryland, Dianne Williams, Tarboro, North Carolina, Tara Clark, Severn Maryland., one brother Earl Byrd (Willie Mae) Baltimore Maryland. Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A public Viewing and Visitation will be held on Friday September 25, 2020 from 2:00 to 6:00PM at Dickens Funeral Service. We will follow the COVID-19 guidelines in distancing and wearing of mask will be required for both services. These services have been entrusted to Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. of Tarboro, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers the family will be accepting monetary donations.
