Mr. William Earl Exum, age 69 of Battleboro, North Carolina, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 04, 2025 at 12PM at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist church, Northwest 4455 NC-33, Tarboro, North Carolina with Rev. William Davis, Eulogist. Interment will follow at the Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Tarboro, North Carolina. A public viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. He is survived by his wife Charnell Exum of the home, two daughters, Erica Gilliam of Baltimore, MD and Ashley Simmons (Patrick) of Rocky Mount, NC. Two sons, Dondre Paige, Charlotte, N.C. and Antoine Billups, Rocky Mount, N.C. One brother Fate Ellis Rodgers (Luvenia) Baltimore, MD, eight sisters, Annette Rodgers, Baltimore MD, Tacator Hyman (David) Greenville, NC, Mary Battle, Annette Higgs (Milton) and Caroline Rodgers of Tarboro, NC, Virginia Collins (John) of Oklahoma, Carolyn Smith (Lawrence) Vernell Wimbush Washington (Fred) of Washington DC, and Edith Grant (Roosevelt) Whitakers, NC. Two aunts Hattie Lyons, Baltimore MD and Irene Lyons of Tarboro, NC. Fourteen (14) grandchildren, Eleven (11) great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. The family will be receiving friends on Friday, January 03, 2025 from 2:00PM until 6:00PM at Dickens Funeral Service.
