Mr. William Sherrod, Jr. of Suitland Md. transitioned on June 17, 2026. Services will be held on June 27, 2026 at 12 Noon at Dickens Funeral Service Chapel 3690 Highway 111 North, Tarboro, NC. Ricky Hudson his stepson will eulogized the service. Burial will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Tarboro, North Carolina.

A Public Visitation will be held at Dickens Funeral Service on Friday June 26, 2026 from 2:00PM til 6:00PM.

He leaves to mourn his wife of 34 years, Annie Hudson Sherrod of the home, two sons, William Sherrod lll, of Waldorf, Maryland, Ricky Hudson of Greenville, NC, one daughter, Shanita Geathers of Temple Hills, Maryland, one daughter -in-law Melanie Powell Hudson of Rocky Mount, NC, two brothers, Cecil Sherrod of Baltimore, Maryland, Joe Sherrod of Suitland, Maryland, three sisters, Lucille Johnson of Tarboro, N.C., Cora Lee Sherrod and Gloria Jean Sherrod of Washington, DC, one aunt Edna Brown,of Tarboro, NC, three sisters-in-law, Lee Ella Graham and Josie Williams of Tarboro, NC, Gwen Sullivan of Suitland MD, nine grandchildren, four great-grand children, two God daughters, Shonette Hillard and Antoinette Lewis of Tarboro, NC. A special cousin, Alton Powell of Rocky Mount, NC two friends, Wylan Williams of Suitland, Maryland Jimmy Ellis of Warsaw, Virginia , along with a host of nieces, nephews , cousins and friends.
