Demetrius Dickens

  Mr. Demetrius Dickens, 43, of Rocky Mount died Friday April 3, 2020.  Life Celebration Services will take place on Sunday at 2:00 PM for the immediate family only . A walk-through visitation will take place two hours prior to the service at Dickens Funeral Service Chapel on Sunday.  Demetrius attended Edgecombe County Public School and graduated with the class of 1995 from North Edgecombe High School, Leggett, North Carolina.

He is survived by his mother Bertha Dickens, Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Godmother, Shirley Hall of Castalia, North Carolina, four uncles, Almo Dickens (Barbara) and Oscar Dickens (Lula) both of Battleboro, North Carolina, Andrew Odom, Ayden, North Carolina  and Milton Odom, six aunts, Minnie Edmondson, Mary Scott, Mae Odom, Lena Dickens and Marjorie Grant all of Battleboro, North Carolina, Dorothy Burns and Mary Dickens both of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Diana Dickens of Spring Hope, North Carolina and Malinda Dickens of Lawrence, North Carolina, one great-aunt, Pauline Lawrence, age 103, of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

 The family will be receiving friends at 1307 Clark Street, Rocky Mount, North Carolina. These services have been entrusted to Dickens Funeral Service, Inc. of Tarboro, North Carolina.
