Gary Lee Porter

Mr. Gary Lee Porter, 66, died Saturday, July 24,2021 at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Raleigh North Carolina. Service for Mr. Porter will be held on Saturday July 31, 2021  at 12 noon at Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 5422 Raeford Rd. Fayetteville, North Carolina. Rev. Dr. Christoppher D. Stackhouse, Eulogist. A Viewing and Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Commital and Burial will be held on Sunday August 1, 2021 at 1:00PM at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, Tarboro, North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Shenel Dickens Porter of the home, three sons, Steven Porter, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Toby Torrelle Jones (Toya), Greensboro, North Carolina and Kendrix Jermaine Jones, Greensboro, North Carolina. One brother, Roland Weeden Jr. Richmond Virginia, one aunt, Margaret Carter Porter, Bellingham, Massasachutes. Five sister in laws, Josie (Clifton) Cofield, Martha (Oscar) Lathan, Olga Dickens all of Speed, North Carolina, Maxi Bryant, Seattle Washington and Gwendolyn (Jesse) Bowens, Winterville, North Carolina. One other brother in law Cornell Dickens, Winterville, North Carolina, five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

A public visitation will be held at Dickens Funeral Service from 2:00 PM to 6:00PM on Friday July 30, 2021. This service will be lived streamed and can be viewed at Lewis Chapel.org.

We will be following the COVID -19 guidelines and you are asked to wear masks for both services.
