Mr. Robert E. Tillery, 78, of Tarboro, North Carolina transitioned from this earthly life into eternal rest on Sunday, May 01, 2022 at home. Services will be held on Friday, May 06, 2022 at 12 noon at Leggett Chapel MB Church, Leggett, North Carolina with Reverend Mitchell Harris, presiding and Elder Lisa T. Chance, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the East Lawn Cemetery, Tarboro, North Carolina
He is survived by his wife Chittel Bazemore Tillery of the home, two daughters, Lisa T Chance (Darrin) of Angier, N.C. and Tabatha T. Evans (James) of Tarboro, N.C; two grandsons, Jamar Armstrong of Fayetteville, NC and Darius Phillips (Niara) of Durham, N.C. one granddaughter, Jalisha Armstrong of Tarboro, N.C. two great-grandchildren , Serenity Armstrong and Jayce Armstrong of Fayetteville, N.C. two sisters, Gracie Tillery of Newport News Va., and Emma Williams (Robert) of Tarboro, N.C. four sisters -in-law, three brothers-in-law, one aunt, two uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Public Viewing will be held on Thursday May 05, 2022 at Dickens Funeral Service from 2:00 till 7:00pm.
We will continue to follow the COVID guidelines and you are encouraged to wear your masks.
